Photos for a friend...

A friend recently asked that I take senior photos of her daughter... happy to oblige. I took advantage of the deep back yard & nice stone work at their home. Oh, & a couple shots with the car too. Here are a few favorites...

Indoor portraits...

My preference is to photograph outdoors... I like the sky, trees & grass, stone & other natural elements. I also enjoy the unique offerings of UpTown... brick walls & fire escapes, storefront windows, alleyways & the narrow spaces between old buildings. This time around however we would take a different approach. Our photo session would take place indoors. With light streaming through open windows we photographed her senior portraits in about an hour while simply visiting a few rooms in the house. Simple backgrounds & comfortable surroundings... all without setting foot outside.

The best time of the year...

Ahhh... the annual Christmas card photo, had to laugh when they started making funny faces! Merry Christmas & all the best for the coming new year.
